The little assistant’s face changed colors.
He turned blue from anger, then white from worries.

He immediately turned to look at Luo Xiu.

Luo Xiu just leaned in his couch and languidly flipping through the magazine.
His profile cold and distant.
All these awful words about him and he didn’t even blink an eye as though he wasn’t bother by them at all.

The little assistant felt that the sinking feeling in his stomach had disappeared.

The man’s voice outside was still snickering.
“How’s that any different than a gigolo? Why would I be envious of someone who got his role through such a dirty mean? I—”

SHOO!! BAM!!

It was a loud and startling noise.

It sounded as if some object had been hurled through the air and shattered into pieces against the wall.

After an awkward silence, the man, as though startled by something, his voice became even more piercing.
“You, are you crazy! It almost hit me in my face!”

A second or two later.

It was still that familiar and languid girl’s voice.
This time, however, there was an unfamiliar coldness mixed in it.

Outside of the lounge.

Gu Nian stood there politely and tenderly with her hands behind her back and, in her harmless, little fairy like tone, said—

“I dare you to say that again.”

“……”

Inside the room.

Luo Xiu’s hands, still holding onto the magazine, paused.

After a little while, he put the magazine down, leaned against the couch and slowly looked up at the door.
