”Eh? ” The three of them were stunned to see the two unknown young men.

”How are you two standing just fine? ” Aurielles sounded confused. The black hole alone made them feel like flying away. Instead, the two young men were standing firmly on the ground, having only their clothes fluttering from the strong wind.

”Magic~ ” The red-haired man said playfully.

”Anyway, all you need to do to fight this thing is~ ” He instantaneously jumps beyond the black hole, and rolls in the air adding momentum, before landing a fiery attack onto the Replicas chest. The black hole abruptly vanishes and the Replica crumbled apart once again.

”A single kick?! ” They were amazed. Cole walks casually toward them.

”The Replica may look big and scary, but it was only made of some stacked stones and a little bit of dark magic to hold them together, so a little kick is all that it needs. ” He simplified.

”I don think thats how it works, but thank you for saving us. ” Aurielle thanked him.

”Who are you? ” Remy asked the unknown man.

”Me? Im Cole and meet my partner, Lucius. ” He pointed out to the tall man in the white cloak.

”Cole? As for the Ashen Adventurer?! ” Aurielle was shocked.

”Yup! Thats me~ Looks like someone does know me. ” Cole smiled brightly.

”Someone? Everyone knew about you! The Overpowering Rookie! ” Remy said excitedly. News and rumors about the Ashen Adventurer, Cole can be heard all over Theia. Honestly, they would be even more surprised if anyone didn know about him.

”You already reached S rank? I don know if Im supposed to be surprised or not. ” Aurielle was conflicted.

”Wohooo. Why don you look at that. ” Cole averted their attention to the Replica, which already rebuilds itself into dragon form.

”This will be a great exercising partner. Stand back, let me handle this. ” Cole stretches his body.

”Exercising partner? ” Aurielle was confused and dumbfounded.

”Let us help you. ” Remy urged.

”No. You three get some rest. ” Cole smiled as he marched forward. They didn say anything after that. Indeed, they were pretty beaten up.

”You
e not going to help him? ” Aurielle asked Lucius who was only watching from afar. Aurielle was left hanging but she didn mind it.

”Okay, this should be fine, right Lucius? ” He asked him. As expected, he didn respond to Cole as well. They all start backing away near the edge of the wall.

”The height difference is not so much of importance, isn it? ” Cole looked at the Replica.

The replica held its hand high up and swiftly crushed Cole who was on the ground. Everything went into silence. Then, cracking sounds can be heard, and suddenly the Replica hand collapses. They were stunned to see Cole standing tall, he brushes the debris off his shoulders and hair.

”We were bleeding to our death! Is he even a human?! ” Remys eyes twitched in disbelief.

”I don even know who Im supposed to feel scared of, the Replica or him. ” Dylan sighs, dispirited.

”Come on, do your best! Its the first time we met after all. ” Cole taunted the Replica, and it menaced. It swings its tail across him, but Cole easily avoided it.

”Thats al- ” He wanted to brag but the Replicas left hand landed a blow to him and sent him flying, crashing into the wall, and creating a hole. Staggeringly, Cole sat up as if nothing happens to him.

”Thats more like it. ” He smirked excitedly.

”Hes fine?! I don see any single blood! ” They were shocked again.

The fight continues for a longer period, with him destroying the Replica most of the time, as if kicking stones on the ground.

”Okay! Im done warming up! ” Cole said casually.

”Thats warming up?! ” They screamed at the same time.

”Relax~ Im a fire magic user, of course, a fire needs to warm up too. ” Cole said leisurely.

”You
e saying you need time to fully recharge your mana? ” Remy asked.

”Yeah. Never seen one before? ” Cole asked.

”Are you not the same as the magic user from the academy? ” Remy replied to him with another question.

”You
e talking about wizards from the Wizard Academy. Im no wizard. Im a fighter, and a fighter needs to warm up their body before using spells. ” Cole clarified.

”Our body is like a container. Warming up and gathering energy inside the body, while adding more pressure. If we release it, what will happen? ” Cole asked.

”If we release it, it will burst out, powerful. ” Dylan answered.

”Correct, thats what Ive been doing. ” Cole smiled at them.

”Isn it dangerous to do that? Won your body potentially burst too? ” Aurielle asked.

”True. I had my times when my body almost burst from overtraining. But pushing to the limit will enhance your body even more. ” Cole added.

”So fighter is the strongest type of class? ” Aurielle asked again.

”Not really. Anyone can be stronger in their class if they master and enhance their ability, but those who had their potential peaked to the maximum will be unstoppable. ” Cole summarize.

They manage to have a learning session while waiting for the Replica. It was taking more time to rebuild this time.

”Its about time ” Cole smirked.

”Is it me? Or its getting hotter in here? ” Remy asked while fanning himself with his hand.

”Its coming from him. ” Aurielle said. Their eyes were fixed on Cole.

As Cole took a stand, they began to feel the burning sensation gradually increase. He lifted his right foot slightly, and it began to produce red flames. Everyone was sweating profusely.

”Ice Magic: Snowy Days. ” Remy used his magic to cool them off, otherwise, they would have to deal with heat strokes. Snowflakes flutter from above them, creating a mild-cold temperature to counter the heat. They knew Coles fire was getting intense, cause they visibly can see how some of the stones began to liquefy.

They were very much impressed by Coles fire magic, to produce an entirely different level of heat till reaching the melting point of the stones. His flame switches from red to yellowish. Even with Remys spell, they couldn help but still feel the heat.

”Do you know, what color of fire is the hottest? ” Cole smirked at the Replica.

”Its blue! ” A burst of energy broke through, and an overwhelming heat was felt, as Coles flame changes into blueish color.

”We
e going to be toasted alive! ” Remy shouted, even his ice magic cannot go up against Coles fire heat.

”Barrier. ” A dark color tint shield covered them, enough to let them see the situation outside. They were shocked and glanced at Lucius.

”You
e- ” Aurielles words cut off when Dylan holds her hand, he shakes his head lightly. They couldn feel the heat anymore, despite the evidence of how dangerous Coles heat was, it made them curious.

”At this rate, hes going to melt this whole place. ” Remy said.

The Replica drags itself towards Cole, and it swings its claws toward him. In a flash, Cole blows a devastating kick to the Replicas body and it flew across the room, hitting the wall. The Replica bodys part which was touched by him began to dissolve unceasingly till its body turned into magma. The sphere hovers on top of the magma before breaking from the extreme heat, and Coles flame suddenly poofed into thin air.

”Hows that? ” Cole smiles brightly.

”You
e just too overpowered. ” Aurielle gave up. They nodded, supporting her words. Cole laughs heartily.

”How did you get past the invisible wall? We didn get to hit the sphere before. ” Remy asked him, that was the hardest part for them when fighting the Replica.

”Ah, there was no invisible wall as such. What you were hitting was a condensed air created around the sphere, thats why you didn get to penetrate it. After making it uses most of its magic, only then, it disappear and you can destroy the sphere. ” Cole explained. They nodded in understanding.

”Hows that, Lucius? ” He asked Lucius who until now haven said anything.

”Messy. ” He commented. The others only looked at him, followed by Cole laughing hard.

”Don you think this guy is actually very dangerous? ” Remy whispered to Aurielle and Dylan.

”Yeah, I agree. That spell just now… Im concerned that we might be standing beside, an even more, stronger person than Cole is. ” Aurielle replied to him. Both of them nodded profusely, acknowledging it.

Dark magic is an infamous type of magic throughout the whole world, Theia. People can try to learn it, but even so, not many can master or use it. After all, that magic originated from Aberrant Mortala and is mostly used by… Demons…

”Hoo! Nice. So wheres the treasure? ” Cole asked cheerfully. Unexpectedly, the floor pulsed with redness once again, just like the moment Aurielle stepped on the circled floor. A powerful dark shockwave knocked all of them except for Lucius. They started to feel weak.

”Whats happening? I can stand ” They felt disoriented.

”It absorbed our energy. Looks like that was just childs play, no wonder it was too easy ” Cole said.

”He said easy. ” Aurielle cried in disbelief.

Out of nowhere, a portal was created. They heard it. A growl that made their hair strands stand up and blood run cold. The immersive deadly aura was suffocating. At a slow pace, stepping into the light from the large portal, was an actual dragon.

It roared intimidatingly, causing the forest to become uneasy. The birds flew away in fear and monsters started to feel agitated; howling, hissing, running, and hiding. The threatening aura spread far and wide, and on that day, the inhabitant of Mirifical Enthral felt it; a change. A lady turns her head, covered with a veil.

”Head Dawn. ” One of the druids called to her with a concerned tone.

”Yes, I can feel it. ” She said.

”Is that th- th- The Dark King?! ” Remy screamed. They were stunned, struck by an actual terror.

”Just what have we woken? ” Dylan asked eyes enlarged from the horror.

”I think the true Replica is actually based on the Dark King. That would explain why it has dark magic. ” Cole tries to elucidate their confusion.

”So what did we fight just now? ” Aurielle asked.

”Its probably a golem created by the druids to act as the Replica. They might felt this power would be too strong, even for a human to handle, so they created another version of the Replica, but a golem. If anyone were to fight the real Replica directly, theyll be dead in an instant. ” Cole explained.

”True. ” Dawn appeared out of nowhere. The veiled lady looked at the Replica.

”So it is you humans, who woken him up? ” She asked.

”I thought our strongest golem could handle anyone trying to trespass. It seems humans nowadays are getting stronger to even challenge the Replica himself. ” Dawn sighs.

”Wait, so the golem was only an easier version of the Replica? You guys need to make clearer guidance about that. Who knew we never had the chance to win against it from the very beginning. ” Remy felt flabbergasted.

”Im sorry. We tried our best to make it clear; that no one should ever come here, based on the danger that we put, starting from the Cursed Woods until the Ruin of Eve. But for some reason, humans kept coming here to have their life taken away. Do you humans really like chasing death? ” Dawn was bewildered. They were taken aback by her words.

”Now that is a reality check-up. ” Aurielle somehow felt embarrassed.

”Don get discouraged. Only those who are brave enough can achieve greater things even at the cost of their life. ” Cole reminded them. They have doubts in their hearts, despite being called the Top 3, they were still weak.

”We might have died fighting the golem if you didn save us. ” Jason said weakly.

”True. ” Cole admitted.

”Is that all you can say? ” They felt more demotivated which made Cole laughs.

”In front of a strong opponent, it is easy to feel pressured and felt like you are very weak. But if you look back, this is an S rank territory. Not many can reach this height, but this enemy is not yours to fight. Always remember, there will always be someone stronger than you ” Cole reminded them.

”Someone stronger? Is it you? ” Aurielle asked.

”Nah, Im not that strong. But I do want to fight this boss. Even if this is only a Replica, its the closest thing to the real one. Its time to put my power to the test again. ” Cole was getting excited, he began to stretch.

”Good luck, Cole! Don die! Kick its butt! ” They cheered for him.

”What a funny group of humans. This is the first time anyone has come here since no one has ever visited our princess. Could this day… ” Dawn hesitated.

”Princess? ” Aurielle was puzzled.

”Watch out! ” Without notice, a large black needle-like pillar flew towards them, it was startling. More of it was hovering above the Replica.

”Do not touch it! It will absorb your energy. ” Cole said. His left arm was grazed by one of the needles and torn his shirt.

”Looks like, its not only capable of that. ” His skin slowly turns darker where he was wounded.

”It had poison too. This fight is deadly. ” He clenched his teeth in pain. They began to worry.

”Im a little bit concerned about how to fight this if I can even touch it. ” Cole chuckles to himself.

”Black hole. ” Lucius called, followed by a black hole appearing beside him, he puts his arm inside and pulled out something. Using magic to elevate it, he strikes the Replica powerfully, causing it to fall on its back.

”How dare you bring that with you! ” Cole was furious.

”Use it or die. ” He said cold-heartedly. Striking the chest of the Replica was a large red claymore. The Replica tried to pull itself up, but quickly Cole took the claymore away.

”So Cole is a Claymores. I thought he said hes a fighter. ” Aurielle said, confused.

”Im both, but I prefer to be a fighter. Claymores are too heavy to handle. ” He cleared up.

”So why not be a Swordsman? ” Dylan asked.

”Im too lazy to use my hand, okay? So I used my legs mostly. ” Cole answered, foolishly.

”Thats your reason? ” They were flabbergasted again.

”What a funny young man ” Dawn chuckles. The Replica made an ear-splitting roar and destructive scratching on the floor, clearly annoyed. Cole ran with the Claymore head-on toward the Replica, and they were stunned to the point of speechless.

”God damn! This thing is heavy! ” He curses as he drags the Claymore behind him.

”HAHAHAHA!!!! ” They all laughed hysterically, even Remy was rolling on the ground. Lucius was also holding his chuckles.

”Shut it! You guys try it! You too, Lucius! ” He was infuriated by them.

The Replica threw its needles towards Cole and he manage to dodge every single one, not until he saw the replica had its claws heading towards him. Swiftly, using his leftover firepower, he jumps into the air, higher above the Replica. Everyone was wide-eyed, astounded.

”Argh! Go to hell with this thing! ” He throws the Claymore towards the Replica.

”Fire Magic: Acceleration! ” He kicks the handle and transferred his magic to the Claymore.

”Improvised: Shooting Star! ” Everything happened in a flash, the claymore pierces through the Replica, creating an ultimate blast. Everyone was in awe, their jaw dropped.

”Crazy! That was so powerful! ” Remy exclaimed.

”Looks like he wasn in full energy. His flame was only red. By the way, thats not how you
e supposed to use a Claymore. ” Dylan chuckles.

”A fighter needs to warm up first, right? Besides, it took our energy earlier and he did get hit by one of that needles so its only logical that he becomes weaker. ” Remy commented.

”I heard that! Who said Im weak?! ” Cole shouted to them, as he lands back on the ground.

”Hik! ” Remy was startled.

”He missed. ” Aurielle said. Her eyes were attentively watching the battle, focused.

”He missed? ” They were bewildered.

”Im at my limit. I really don like this kind of magic. Absorbing ones magic is totally unfair. ” He complained. Cole fell to his knees.

”Hahaha. Thats all you can do? ” A deep voice echoes. All of them were alerted.

”Seriously? ” Cole can only chuckle. The Replica stood up and they saw, the hole in its body was regenerating at a high rate.

”This is so unfair. I even missed the core? ” Cole smiled forcefully.

”Blame yourself for being weak, but not bad I must say. ” The Replica complimented.

”It can talk?! ” They were shocked.

”Of course, I can. After all, I am more of a clone of the Dark King instead of a soulless vessel, although, possessing only a small fraction of his powers, you humans are still far too weak to fight me. ” The Replica pridefully.

”Well if you compare it like that, of course, we humans are no match with a dragon. ” Cole rationalizes.

”Hahaha! Well then, let me be on offense now. ” The Replica said, opening its mouth wide and directing at Cole. By degrees, energy began to gather, and the heat rises.

”So Im getting a taste of my own powers now? ” Cole chuckles, feeling unbelievable.

”Cole! Get away! ” They screamed. Cole watches as the Replica released the massive ball of energy towards him, filled with his fire magic.

”Looks like its not as easy as that. ” He was exhausted but a smirk didn fade from his face.
