The Same But Different You

A sudden shock emitted throughout his body. His hair rose, as he looking at his surroundings. Raulf was wondering around, no one to be found as he went to a nearby river. He washed all the stains in his clothes looking for a new one.

He looked above, seeing some wrinkled clothes above a building. Im sorry whose ever clothes this is He went back down, taking apart his clothing. ”Just what is this god damn place? ”

He took a bit of tour around Paris walking as the sky turned back to its blue color from a purple shade.

”This place is exactly like France. Is this a projection? ” He waved around touching ground aswell as the plants.

Is this real or what? Scratching his head confused on where he is. ”GOD DAMN IT YOU MASKED MAN!! ” He shouted as a vehicles engine sound started to come closer.

Cars? He turned his head rushing towards the front of the building, waving his hands infront of a car.

A patrol vehicle started to slowly stop, a person covered in a white suit started to step out of the car, looking at his body, surprised.

”Hey are you okay? Do you feel something in your body? ” The person asked Raulf in surprised as they look at him absolutely fine.

”Hmm? What do you mean? Im perfectly normal. But thank goodness you came. Ive been stuck here for a while now, what year is it? ” Raulf grabbed his hands asking him

”Its 20– ” The man spoke with a bleep at the ending of the year.

”Can you repeat that again? But in numbers ” Raulf was confused, thinking he was hearing things.

”Its 20– ” ?! He listened closely hearing him saying the first two numbers. But the last numbers he could only hear a ”Bleep ”

Ah **. He scratched his head with frustration. I cant even know what year this is? He sighed but looked at the person again.

”Can- ” But before he can speak another word the person stopped him. ”Lets not talk here, Even though the rifts is slowly closing it can still damage your body. ”

”Alright ” They opened the door but Raulf felt something that was going towards them at full speed.

He looked at the sky and kicked the van with his feet making it move away from the landing spot. ”What the?! ” Everyone was surprised until a huge bang floor where the van was originally on.

”Are you guys ok? ” Raulf waved at them, seeing a response with a quick Thumbs up in the air.

”….What the **? ” A spear that he saw before fell onto the van with a rifle. ?! He looked at the sky once more smirking. That **ing masked man Grabbing the spearing and heading toward the van.

”Thank you sir ” As he approached the van with the spear and rifle in his back.

Raulf looked at the man and wondered where he could place his items. The spear is 4 meters long and they couldn fit it in the back. Raulf looked around finding some ropes where he originally found his clothes.

Sigh.. Im sorry to those who ever im stealing from Wrapping the spear around the van while keeping his rifle and knife with him.

The van started and they started to head out to a nearby evacuation center, a hospital. He felt calm knowing there are real people with him. He closed his eyes wondering again if this is really real, until his chest started to hurt.

Shivers down his spine, The person quickly noticed as he looks at Raulf. ”Sir are you okay? ” The person trying to wonder whats wrong with him but something was strange.

”Im fine. I just feel a bit cold but im alright. ”

Another van went besides theirs, his hair starting to rise as he felt weird for a moment. …Fuck… The chills in his body left, looking at the window trying to find the car that passed by them. He looked but he failed finding it.

He sighed and took a couple of breaths after feeling a bit weird. But as soon as he opened his eyes the window dropped.

”Sir, We need to confiscate your weapon for a bit since its dangerous, you can take your belongings once you leave ”

”Ah! No worries, you can take them ” As they take the spear and the rifle off the van. The van stopped as they started to leave one by one. They quickly guided him to the center. He quickly wrote his name on a piece of paper that has a list, writing his name.

Raulf was patted as soon as he entered the entrance, but they didnt seem to notice the knife he was hiding.

Did that actually worked? He smirked and giggled hiding his knife under his shoes.

He looked around at the people chattering. ….France… I thought id never hear such a crowd again. Thinking from his passed he smiled.

”Sir can you come with me for a second? Someone wants to meet you. ” A woman with blonde hair came walking to an office.

”Your voice.. Aren you that one in that suit? ” Surprised on how pretty she is, he took a moment to admire her.

”Ahaha, So you noticed. Nice to meet you! My name is Camille. ” She smiled at him as they reached the office.

”My name is Raulf, Raulf Caron ” He smiled at her in reponse. But he took time to observe what is currently happening.

This world isnt so different from his, though the man said that this is a ”Game ”. But what kind of game is this? His interactions felt realistic, thinking this was no projection. But this it felt weird for him.

He opened the door and meet a man in a suit. Having a sign with his name on it, ”Jonathan ”.

”Is your name Raulf Caron? ” The man looked confused while looking at the list.

”Do you have a brother? There is someone named Raulf Caron here, but he is higher up on the list. Did you leave and wrote your name again? ”

What? His eyes widened thinking nothing of it as a coincidence. ”I think you
e mistaken. I was out and its my first time being here. ”

”Out? While the rifts are opened? ” His expression, surprised while Raulf was confused about the whole thing. ”And im sure im not mistaken someone who looked like you entered yesterday. ”

He took a file and handed it to him. He opened it, showing his exact information. He heart was rapidly beating as he looked at it.

Ive never been here before… So who is this? He slowly dropped the file. carefully trying to breathe.

Just what are these rifts and what makes them so dangerous? And someone who looks like me? Thinking so hard about it, trying to find an answer.
