The Last Fragment Of The End

After a few hours had passed now, the sun rose above the horizon.

Artham stood up and went to Miera, who was sleeping behind the rock where she had been monitoring Artham last night.

Artham shook Miera gently until she awoke.

Artham drew as well as gave a hand posture that explained the meaning of the drawing.

Miera and Zirah understood and got ready to go to their destination.

During the trip, Artham showed some seeds and fruits to Miera and asked.

Then Miera gave some answers by nodding.

Artham also loaded the information into the system.

Moments later, Artham realized something was in front of him. Yes, it is a trap in the middle of the road. And around it, there are 6 living things. 4 of the living things are the same race creature with different patterns on their body while the other 2 are wolves.

Artham also told Miera and her little sister to hide then Artham quietly approached the herd of the creature 5 of them were sleeping and 1 was on guard after that Artham clearly saw the shape of the creature with small body characteristics with a lizard-like stature and 2 others are some sort of wolf that they ride so they are a pack of ”Kobolds ” wielding a shield and some javelin or small spears with 2 wolves.

”Their trap is a hole covered by leaves and tree branches around it. Isn that a trap thats easy to see if its clear like that? Or is it just me who can see it clearly? Well, first, I have to kill the ones on guard, but the ones guarding them are so close to the herd that theres no way I can kill him stealthily, so I have to attack them with an ambush attack. ”

Artham launched his attack. First, he threw his Smoke Bomb, then the pack of kobolds woke up in the dark fog and panicked.

Then from the black mist came Artham, who ran and slashed a kobold. He used his long sword efficiently, slicing through the neck of the monster easily.

And then, the rest of the kobolds began attacking Artham. But since they were attacked unexpectedly, they were unable to fight back. The other kobolds panic in the dark, but not the wolves who could see well in the dark. One kobold, who rides a wolf with a javelin, started charging toward Artham, who was silent. When the wolf jumped at Artham, Artham immediately dodged and swiftly moved his sword to decapitate the wolfs head as well as cut off the hand of the kobold riding it. The decapitated wolfs body fall motionless and the javelin fell down along with it. Arthams blade pierced the back of the kobold whose arm was cut off and died.

At that moment, the other kobolds who were trying to escape in the darkness lost balance and crashed onto each other.

Artham took the javelin and threw it at the wolf who just realized its location, then schlook! It hit the wolfs head.

The wolf died and made the kobold riding the wolf fall down. Artham immediately ran again to kill the remaining kobolds, then several kobolds started running in a panic without knowing their direction and shouted.

Then there was only one kobold with armor and an iron helmet, along with a shield and a javelin in his hand. Slowly the black mist began to disappear, making the kobold see a humanoid figure sitting casually in front of it.

Artham grinned happily at the sight of the frightened kobold.

”Well, well, well. You guys should be more careful next time. Because you guys aren alone. Hey! Lets fight fair now. I need something fun! ” Artham chuckled.

But the kobold who wore the full plate armor did not move nor look away from Artham.

”Oh yeah? Do you want to fight? ” Artham, with his finger pointing at the kobold, signaled he wanted 1 vs 1 and the kobold got angry.

The kobold looked at Artham angrily. His face turned red and his mouth opened wide showing sharp fangs. With anger in mind, the kobold charged at Artham with his shield and a javelin in his hand.

”Whoa! ” Artham quickly stood up and blocked the incoming javelin with his longsword.

”Negi evil I ereav liv girdla ud litdni, gid rebeard jeg ediks nid! ( You **er I will kill you until you never want to be alive again!) ”

The Kobold tried to stab Artham but failed because Artham managed to dodge it. He then jumped into the tree on his right doing a jump attack like a heavy attack from the side towards the kobold but the kobold managed to block it with its shield. While blocking, the kobold smiled and thrust the javelin at Arthams stomach but Artham immediately carried out the next attack with his low spinning kick sweep making the kobold miss his thrust and fall.

The kobold was immediately stabbed by Arthams sword in the head.

Schlook!

”Just like that? Not even a minute has passed. Huff… Is it because Im too strong or the enemy is just stupid and weak? No, its too early for me to judge the monsters of this world… Lets hope next time I can fight against a comparable foe. ”

After a while, Artham returned to where Miera and her little sister were, the two sisters looked at Artham with shocked expressions after seeing the armor that Artham was wearing.

Miera quickly drew closer to Artham and pointed at the armor while saying something Artham didn know in a worried voice.

Artham who didn know what the girl in front of him was saying only replied by showing the human bones in the place where he slaughtered the kobolds before.

then while Artham was looting some kobold corpses he came across a piece of paper written in a character he didn recognize.

He then gave the paper to Miera and after Miera read it he suddenly burst into tears and knelt in front of the human bones where even the blood was still attached to the bones.

Artham saw Miera who seemed to be praying for the corpse that had become the bones.

After that, they now continue their journey.

After several hours of walking, they finally arrived at their destination. Artham saw a village surrounded by a large wooden fence and several wooden towers and in the distance saw several guards shout.

After arriving right in front of the village gate. One guard came out and looked at Artham for a few seconds, then at Miera and Zirah.

Miera lowered her head with a sad expression and only answered the guards question by shaking her head.

The guards understood what Mieras gesture meant and silence ensued for a few moments.

Miera then held Arthams hand and ran inside to village while pulling Artham.

Artham arrived at Mieras and Zirahs house and the two sisters ran to their parents and hugged them.

There was a family reunion. After their reunion time was over, the sisters parents thanked Artham and led him into the house.

Inside the house, Miera explained that Artham didn know their language, so it was difficult for Artham to understand what they were saying. But after a while of talking, Mieras parents wanted to return the favor to Artham and Artham replied that he wanted to teach Artham about language and other ordinary things in this world.

They agreed without asking where Artham came from and what he was doing.

And so Artham now begins to live in the village while learning about the worlds languages.

From morning to evening he studies and seeks information about the world.

While he was searching for information during the day he overheard the guards conversations about several hordes of monsters such as kobolds and goblins roaming the forest.

Hearing that, Artham now knows what he needs to do to complete his Sub-Quest.

And when nightfall comes, Artham left the village secretly in order to fulfill his quest.

When Artham reached the Terabis Forest, he looked around for suitable prey.

”Now lets the hunt begin! ” Artham grinned and entered the forest.

After wandering aimlessly in the forest for a few minutes, Artham found something worth hunting in the middle of the forest.

He saw two kobolds near the border of the forest and immediately killed them both, then sucked their blood.

His stats increased slightly. And soon enough, he grew hungry once again. So he continued killing these creatures whenever he sees them in the area.
