The Amulet of Mauquatamia

Splash, I snapped my eyes wide open, cold water, I thought touching my face, someone splashed cold water in me. With an angry face I stood up with the intention to scold whoever it was.

I flipped my wet hair to the side angrily, it was getting in the way of my scolding which I haven started yet. After seeing the sight before me, I was shocked speechless.

Four creatures stood there before me, staring at me like a zoo animal. Hold on one sec, I know those two, thats when my memory returned to me.

~Few hours ago~

Boy am I exhausted, even the Israelite would pity me. Ive been walking for hours but I still can find anything noteworthy. Frustrated I sat on the tree trunk next to me. I took off my backpack and brought out my water bottle, only a small amount of water was left it won reach me till this night, I just hope it rains tonight.

Letting out a small sigh I opened the water bottle and drank some water leaving an even smaller amount inside. I kept the bottle back inside my backpack. I took off my camera and looked through the pictures Ive taken so far and I shook my head in disappointment.

After resting for a bit, I set out again. Maybe it was my illusion due to how tired I was but I could see something shining from afar, like a torch um flashlight. But it was daytime and I was in the middle of nowhere so it can possibly be a torch.

Overwhelmed by curiosity, I don even know where my drowsiness disappeared to cause I regain my energy that instant and after a while, I came across something that looked like a portal. How did I know? Well Ive read a of Mangas.

But why in the world was a portal here, where does it lead and if I go in, will I be able to come back? I had so many questions in my mind but sadly there was no one to ask. First things first, I took a photo for evidence so people won think Im crazy.

Come on, whats the worst that could happen anyway? I shrugged off the restlessness I felt and with a deep breath I placed my right hand in and to my dismay the portal sucked me in and I landed with the grace of a brick.

My body ached all over, coupled with my heavy backpack I felt like a pancake underneath.

I groaned as I struggled to get my backpack off my back. While still in my dilemma I heard voices approaching and honestly I didn know whether to feel relieved or panicked.

I slowly raised my head to ask for help but the word got stuck in my throat, for a second my brain couldn comprehend what I was seeing and from the look on their faces they seemed shocked as well.

”What the hell is that? ” the owner of the first voice asked. He was an extremely cute guy, that wasn why I was shocked though, Ive seen a lot of gorgeous guys cough… ahem what shocked me were his extra features. He had catlike ears, they both did they also had fair skin. Strange pattern ran down their arms stopping at their wrist and oh my gosh I see a tail. They were both wearing modern clothes so they must be cos playing right? I shook my head to get rid of the thought.

”Please help me get my bag off ” I pleaded still struggling. Honestly I didn really care if the two were cosplaying or not, if they could hel
