Storm of the abyss

”See you later boy ” Ardur walked towards the guard while Seth looked at his back.

As he left the dining room, Seth returned his gaze to the nearly empty plate of food.

Really…it tastes horrible

Back in her room, Seth looked again at the records he obtained after being chosen.

[When the abyss reigned, the Lightning God was one of the first to rebel against them]

What is he supposed to be telling me? Seth was confused by the message he had been given.

What is the abyss? I sound dangerous… Seth had never heard anyone talk about the abyss, not the baptized or the chosen ones on television. Not even the books in the big libraries mentioned it.

At least I know who the Lightning God is It was a well-known story told to children. The six ancient Gods, Gods of the six elements, were mentioned.

God of Lightning, Goddess of Fire, Goddess of Water, Goddess of Earth, God of Air and God of Ice. They were 3 Goddesses and 3 Gods respectively and each one represented an element.

Though he didn understand why the God of Lightning rebelled, or against whom.

Maybe they are the abyss? Seth kept looking through the records one by one looking for new clues.

[Sacrificing himself for the world, lightning was banished from existence, but his sacrifice was the birth of a new hope]

The god of lightning sacrificed himself? although they told the story about the gods and it was only said how they all lived happily ever after, since it was a childrens story. Apparently, the truth was not as pretty as it seemed.

Banished from existence… can anything cease to exist? Seth felt a headache as he continued reading.

[You are the new bearer of lightning, one of the six primordial elements of the world]

Carrier of lightning… This was the message that he kept reading the longest.

He remembered how he was in a completely white world and the dead tree that was resurrected by lightning.

Then he remembered the reflection of him in the mirror, and how his eyes flashed with little lightning bolts.

And there was the last message.

[You have the ability to slightly control lightning]

Seth raised his hand and concentrated.

He felt something inside his body that wasn there before.

It was as natural as walking, yet he hadn even learned to crawl.

After a few seconds, Seth could see lightning appear in the palm of his hand for a few moments before disappearing.

When the lightning disappeared, Seth began to pant as if he had just run a marathon and his entire body was covered in sweat.

B-For so little? Just summoning that small, harmless bolt of lightning had cost all of his energy.

Laying back on the bed, Seth took off the shirt he was wearing and looked down at his bandaged body. Although his wounds had been treated by some unknown person and bandaged, he still had to take care of himself to avoid problems in his recovery.

Apparently while he was in the dining room someone had left a bandage in his room.

How nice of him, he thought as he removed his bandage and looked at his reflection in the mirror.

A year ago, Seths body was devoid of blemishes, although he was a thin person, he did not have any skin problems or scars.

But now he could only see bruises that covered more than 30% of his body and scars that covered him completely.

Putting on new bandages, Seth lay down on the bed and quickly fell asleep having expended all his energy on his new ability.
