The next morning, I went about my daily routine which was taking care of the chickens and the horse.
Then I went to practice marksmanship.

I made a rolled omelet with herb chicken eggs and ate it together with rye bread and fruit juice.
As for Ash, I gave him some dried deer meat, bread and water.
He looked very happy as he ate it.

And then, I decided to take care of my one pending issue, which was the thunder attribute sword I had created yesterday,  wolverine thunder sword.

Putting this in the same sheath I had used for the fire sword was dangerous because the sheath would end up getting electrified.
So, I wrapped the sheath with insulating tape that I had in my shed.

And thus, the electrification problem was solved.
I could carry this sword anywhere without any problem.

Soon, it was about time for me to start making  fire attribute weapons like dagger or shortsword to sell to Margo but I could just sell other kinds of weapons just fine.

I started thinking about creating something else.
Maybe I should try experimenting with water and petrification attributes next.
Maybe I could also make material to grant the petrification attribute by mixing femto stone powder with cockatrice’s eyes powder.

Also, I needed to take the mechanism of skill level into consideration.
When my blacksmith level was still too low, I could only grant fire attributes to weapons made from inferior iron.
However, now that my blacksmith level had increased, I could enchant weapons made from pig iron and even precious iron.

Given that there wasn’t any other explanation, the increase in level must be the reason why I could do that now.

I guess the same could be said about the alchemy skill too.
I could make a higher level concoction now.

About the powder that I had created yesterday, the one that could grant a thunder attribute, maybe if my skill level was too low, I wouldn’t be able to create it.

It was a new discovery.
It turned out mixing fire and water attributes together could create thunder attributes.

Maybe I should show this new sword to Margo and ask him if he had any other enchantment suggestions.
First thing first, I needed to know how much this weapon was worth.

Meanwhile, Margo and Sarasa had arrived at my house.
First, Sarasa.
She came to deliver the finished ash wolf’s mantle to me.
I paid 11 gold coins for the processing cost.

The mantle was gray with blackish hue and white spot patterns.
It looked very cool.

Though… I was anxious to know Ash’s reaction about this mantle…

Ash didn’t seem bothered.
He was busy chewing on bull’s bone like usual.
I guess that meant there was no problem with this mantle.

Now then, it’s time to get back to work.

I brought my ash wolf’s mantle and cleaning brush into the blacksmith workshop.
I crushed the merman’s scale and femto stone and mixed the powder together.

I smeared the brush with the powder and used it to brush the mantle.
Still, this mantle was really useful and cool.
It also came with a hood.

SWUSH SWUSH SWUSH SWUSH

I must’ve already brushed this mantle for at least 20 minutes.
The fur on the mantle started to glow slightly before it started to settle down.

I appraised the mantle.

【Ash Wolf’s Mantle (Fire Resistance+): Mantle made from ash wolf’s skin.
Has the attribute of water and is resistant to fire attack.】

So far, I had never encountered any monster that could let out fire attack but it was better to have a resistance for it rather than not.

This experiment meant that I could grant water attribute to other equipment too.
For example, shields.
It might be a good idea to grant water attribute to shields.

T/N: I guess the author forgot to write that Sarasa and Margo came back home after MC received and paid for the mantle?
