Chapter 13: Professor X’s Thoughts

The young Asian boy with black hair was none other than Yu Feng.

In order to avoid attending those extremely boring classes, Yu Feng spent a week self-studying several years’ worth of courses.
However, it wasn’t enough to just self-study; he also needed the consent of some influential teachers.

The first person Yu Feng thought of was Hank, who had been substituting for Professor X these past few days.

And he had another important reason for seeking Hank.

Hank was one of the smartest individuals in the Marvel world, an outstanding scientist proficient in genetic research and weapon manufacturing.

The iconic X-Men Blackbird fighter jet was modified and built by Hank, and Yu Feng also knew that Hank had transformed the abandoned “Sentinel robots” from the Washington incident into training targets for the future X-Men.

Besides regular training, Yu Feng naturally needed some practical training subjects, so he set his sights on those first-generation Sentinel robots.

However, when he found Hank, he didn’t expect to coincidentally witness Hank bringing Jean to the base, so Yu Feng followed along.

Of course, at the speed of light.

With today’s technology, even though Hank was one of the smartest people on Earth, he couldn’t have invented something that could detect him when he transformed into “light” so early on.
Hence, the previous scene occurred.

“Yu?” Hank couldn’t help but be stunned upon hearing Yu Feng’s words.

He originally thought it was some evil mutant with special abilities invading the academy base or some forces with malicious intentions toward mutants.

After all, the Washington incident had only happened two years ago, and mutants had only recently become well-known to the public.
Although some people expressed friendliness towards mutants, there were still many who harbored strong animosity towards mutants, using them as tools for underground fights or conducting experiments on them.

While Professor X’s mutant school aimed for peaceful coexistence between humans and mutants, they couldn’t afford to have no sense of vigilance.

But he didn’t expect that the person standing at the door would be Yu, such a harmless-looking little boy.

How could Charles, not sense Yu’s presence?

Hank was quite puzzled.

The moment the door opened, Professor X and Jean immediately noticed Yu Feng’s arrival.

Jean’s face showed a cute blush of joy.

But she was also a bit puzzled.

What was Yu doing here? And how did he find this place?

Professor X’s face appeared much calmer.

In Jean’s memory, he already knew that Yu had a special ability to shield telepathic probing.

When he brought Yu back to the academy, he had already had this suspicion.

However, due to the busy affairs during the early stages of the academy’s reconstruction, he hadn’t investigated further.
Now, as he carefully observed Yu, he found that he really couldn’t probe the other’s thoughts.
His eyes revealed a hint of curiosity.

He remembered the strange elemental state that Yu displayed when they first discovered him.
Perhaps the ability to shield telepaths was related to that strange elemental power?

Yu Feng glanced at the now-normal Hank in front of him, then looked at Jean in the room and Professor X sitting in the wheelchair.
With a calm expression on his young face, he said:

“Teacher Hank, won’t you invite me in for a seat?”

“Oh… Oh oh, Yu, come in,” Hank immediately stepped aside upon hearing this, appearing a bit dazed for a moment.
But he quickly snapped out of it and asked in confusion, “Yu, how did you come here, and how didn’t you trigger the alarm?”

Hank definitely wanted to figure this out.

He originally thought the alarm alerts he set up were flawless, but now it seemed there were significant loopholes.

“How did I get in?” Yu Feng paused, blinked innocently, and said, “Teacher Hank, of course, I followed you in.”

“Huh…followed me in?” Hank opened his mouth, feeling somewhat speechless.

This was a lie, right?

Although he didn’t have Charles’ telepathic abilities, he possessed keen observational skills like a beast.
How could he not notice a little kid following behind him?

“I followed you in using this state,” Yu Feng said, adding a remark.

In that instant, his whole body transformed into a radiant state of elementalization and disappeared before Hank’s eyes could blink.

When he reappeared, golden light dots condensed and appeared in front of Jean.

Upon seeing this, Hank’s eyes lit up, suddenly realizing, “Elementalization?”

“Yu, have you mastered your powers?” Hank asked.

“Yes, Hank, I’ve been diligently practicing using your method and finally managed to control my abilities,” Yu Feng replied, looking excited.

Hearing this, Hank became instantly delighted, realizing that he indeed possessed the talent to teach children like Charles!

Professor X nodded, acknowledging this.

When Yu Feng elementalized earlier, he had used telepathy to sense it but found it increasingly difficult to enter Yu Feng’s mind.
This confirmed his initial thoughts.

The reason he couldn’t sense the thoughts of this young boy was precisely because of his ability to transform into an elemental state!

No wonder Jean had a special feeling towards this little boy.

After all, Professor X had gone through the same stage when he was Jean’s age.
As a telepathic mutant, he constantly heard various voices in his mind, to the point where it felt like his brain was going to explode.

So, when telepaths were still children and not proficient in utilizing their abilities, they would certainly go through a period of isolation.

He had experienced it during his own childhood.

But Jean’s situation was even worse.
He could imagine how lonely she must have felt during her everyday life.

And just at that moment, a boy who could bring her a sense of tranquility and didn’t treat her as a monster suddenly appeared.
It was only natural for Jean to unconsciously develop feelings for such a boy.

Hmm…although technically speaking, this could be considered an early romance.
After all, they were just seven or eight years old, spending their days together like a couple.
It did seem a bit strange!

But since it was Jean…special circumstances called for special treatment.

After all, for Jean, who excelled academically, learning was not a difficult task.
The crucial thing was communication and integration into their group of mutants!

Initially, Professor X was a bit concerned about how to help Jean integrate into the group, but now that Yu had appeared, someone who isn’t affected by Jean’s mind-reading ability, perhaps…he could make some “special” arrangements and let Yu assist in guiding Jean?!

Moreover, with these two young kids in an early romance, he couldn’t just sit by and do nothing.
He needed to provide them with proper and effective relationship guidance!

As Professor X contemplated, a slightly mischievous smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

Yu Feng would never have expected that this seemingly serious guy, Professor X, was actually thinking about how to help him and Jean with their early romance.
At this moment, seeing Hank’s delight, Yu Feng knew his opportunity had come and said, ” Teacher Hank, I have something I’d like to ask for your help with.”
