Chapter 10: Speed Learning

The scene of completing everything at the speed of light was still fresh in Yu Feng’s mind.

It was an unconscious action on his part, but when he realized it, Yu Feng knew that he had accomplished everything at the speed of light, breaking the linear propagation nature of light!

“The Digitized Gene System is truly amazing.
After absorbing the Dark Phoenix persona, my Glint Glint Fruit ability has been strengthened according to my will!” Yu Feng clenched his fist in excitement.

Buzz!!!

Instantly, his palm trembled at the speed of light, forming a stream of golden photons that appeared extremely peculiar.

This was something that the previous Yu Feng could never have done.

There was a fundamental difference between the speed of light that could only move in a straight line and the speed of light that could move in a full 360 degrees without any dead angles.

The former could only achieve the speed of light while moving in a straight line.

However, the characteristic of moving in a straight line imposed significant limitations on the Glint Glint Fruit’s speed of light in ordinary tasks.

To change direction, Yu Feng had to use the Eight Mirrors.

On the other hand, in theory, the latter could allow Yu Feng to achieve the speed of light in everything he did: eating, drinking, reading, and more.

It could even make parts of his body vibrate at the speed of light, perfectly utilizing the additional abilities brought by the speed of light.

It could also be used for memorizing, learning, and thinking at the speed of light.

Of course, whether he could truly achieve all of this, the actual effects and limitations of using the speed of light for these activities required practical experimentation.

Yu Feng was full of enthusiasm and without any hesitation, he began to study his speed of light abilities.

As for sleeping?

At this moment, he was mentally alert, so that was out of the question!

“I remember there’s a small 24-hour library on the school campus.
I should go there first to test the effectiveness of speed reading, memorizing, and learning at the speed of light.”

After giving it some thought, Yu Feng decided to go to the library and experiment with his speed of light learning abilities.

In the blink of an eye, Yu Feng arrived at the library.

Although it was deep into the night, there were still two or three people studying and reading in the library, which surprised Yu Feng a little.

He thought to himself that these X-Men students were really dedicated to their studies.

Admirable.

Little did he know that those two or three diligent students were equally astonished.

How could a seven or eight-year-old kid suddenly appear in the library in the middle of the night?

They were all teenagers, some even adults.

Typically, seven or eight-year-old kids would just be starting school, right?

And the books in this library contained profound knowledge.

How could this little kid understand them?

Maybe he had gotten lost and ended up in the library?

“Little brother, what’s your name? Did you get lost?” A young man with golden hair, who looked quite friendly, smiled at Yu Feng and said, “Hello, I’m Alex Summers.
Do you want me to take you back to the dormitory?”

“Um…” Yu Feng opened his mouth, feeling a bit speechless.

Did he really look like he didn’t come here to study?

Although he felt a bit speechless, Yu Feng knew that the other person meant well.

So he replied, “I’m Yu.
Thank you for your kindness, but I’m not lost.
I came here to study.”

In the midst of their conversation, Yu Feng had already found a thick book and sat down, flipping open the first page.

This caught Alex’s attention.

It was simply because the book Yu Feng had taken was incredibly thick!

Just by looking at it, the book covered almost half of Yu Feng’s head.

Alex could barely see the words on the first page.

This scene left Alex speechless.

A book this thick, and it seemed to be a very obscure and dry history book.

Are you sure you won’t fall asleep while reading it?

However, Yu Feng remained calm.

When he opened the first page, he activated his speed of light ability.

Immediately, he felt that time around him had come to a halt.

The look of astonishment in Alex’s eyes was vivid, and Yu Feng even went over to take a closer look, poking Alex’s face with his finger.

Boop!

Alex’s face slightly rippled, like the surface of water, with apparent “ripples.”

This amused Yu Feng, as he now had a glimpse of the strange perspective of high-speed movement, just like Quicksilver.

But now, it was time to focus on the task at hand.

At the speed of light, Yu Feng returned to his seat and began to read the thick history book.

Page after page, his memory and learning speed were incredibly fast.

In the blink of an eye, he had already read half of the book.

This scene caught Alex’s eye, and his eyeballs widened in disbelief.

What the…? How did he manage to read half of it in such a short time?

When did this kid turn the page?

Why didn’t he see it?

And why did his face suddenly feel a little sore, as if someone had poked him?

As Alex was left dumbfounded, Yu Feng had already finished reading the book.

He took a deep breath and put the book back in its place.

“Indeed, I can now engage in Speed learning at the speed of light.
However, strictly speaking, this can only be considered temporary memory.
It will be forgotten after some time unless I read it multiple times at the speed of light to slow down forgetting, or even form permanent memories,” Yu Feng thought to himself.

“However, using the speed of light for learning consumes a lot of mental energy…”
