Reward and Punishment (2)

Anna walked in the front while Rothgarr followed behind her.
The two went out of the castle, and then Anna had Rothgarr stand aside.
She paced back and forth behind the castle, picked a spot and said to Rothgarr, “I’m going to make a pigsty here, You go get some trees that can be used to build a fence.”

Rothgarr looked at Anna for a while.
“…Pigsty?”

“It’s just a name, don’t worry too much.” Anna said, “In short, it’s a place where animals that can be eaten are kept in captivity.”

After understanding Anna’s intention, Rothgarr still didn’t move: “I can’t leave you here alone.”

“Are you afraid that I am in danger or that I will escape?” Anna said, “Didn’t I say that I won’t abandon you? And there are no demonic creatures around here, so you don’t have to worry.”

Rothgarr just looked at Anna silently, with a hint of grievance in his slightly downcast eyes, as if she was trying to trick him into leaving so that she could escape.

Anna couldn’t help covering her face.
How did a domineering grand duke turn into this?

She had no choice but to say, “Then let’s go together.”

Hearing Anna’s words, Rothgarr’s brows relaxed a little, and he opened his arms towards her: “Master.”

Anna walked up to Rothgarr, wrapped her arms around his waist and said, “Let’s go.”

Rothgarr hugged Anna tightly.
He smiled contentedly, spread his wings, and flew into the sky.

Rothgarr flew for a few minutes and stopped when he saw a forest.
Per Anna’s command, he cut down a few trees, then split them into sticks of wood, all with magic, of course.

Ana looked at the wooden sticks in front of her and thought, she still needed a mount.

She said to Rothgarr, “Are there any large demonic creatures in the woods that can carry objects on their backs? Grab a few to use as laborers!”

“Go and see.”

Rothgarr came over and put his arms around Anna’s waist, wanting to take her with him, but Anna said, “Just go by yourself.
I’ll be close by.
If there is any problem, you’ll be able to hear me if I shout out.”

Rothgarr frowned.

Anna thought, Rothgarr was too clingy after his big change in personality!

She suddenly tugged on his collar, stood on tiptoes and kissed his lips: “Be good, hurry and go.
There’s still a lot to do later.”

Anyway, they had kissed so many times before, which she couldn’t stop even if she tried.
If she could coax him into obedience by taking the initiative to kiss him, then she would have gained something out of it.

Rothgarr’s eyes lit up, as if encouraged, and walked happily into the woods.

When Anna saw that this trick really worked, she rested her heart.
She piled up all the wooden sticks and tied them with ropes made of bark.

She walked around the outside of the forest again, but she didn’t know any of the Demon Realm plants, and she didn’t know which ones were edible and which ones weren’t.

She suddenly remembered the big rat demonic creature that could understand human speech.
It seemed to have been guarding those fruits, and was likely an herbivore.
Maybe it knew what other plants could be eaten.
If so, she could move it to live behind the castle.
That way, she wouldn’t have to run out every day to find food to eat.

Although it would be a little troublesome in the beginning, she would have more time to learn and practice by saving on the time she otherwise would spend looking for food.

Anna used the wind-gathering spell to climb up the tree and sat on the branch of a tree, waiting for Rothgarr to return.

There was a breeze blowing through the forest, and she couldn’t help yawning, feeling a little too laid back.

A perfectly good “Survival in Demon Realm” in her hands turned into “Farmville” all of a sudden.

After a while, there was a lot of movement from a distance, and it sounded like it was gradually approaching.
Anna straightened up.
She saw a group of about ten or so demonic creatures about the size of a pig of three or four hundred pounds running frantically, and Rothgarr was the first to them to reach her.
His eyes, which had suddenly turned gloomy after doing a sweep around and not seeing her, softened quickly after spotting Anna sitting on the tree branch.
He looked up at Anna and said, “Master, these demonic creatures are called spike pigs.
They can understand human speech.”

Anna jumped down from the tree, ready to use the wind-gathering spell, but Rothgarr jumped up to catch her before she could, saying softly, “Master, please be careful.”

After landing, Rothgarr didn’t let go of Anna.
He just looked down at her with anticipation in his eyes.

Anna looked at him for a few seconds, and seeing that he didn’t want to let go of her, she hesitated, hooked his neck and pulled him down, placing a light kiss on his lips.

Rothgarr squeezed Anna’s hand and put a hand on the back of her neck, deepening the kiss.

When Rothgarr finally let go of Anna, she gave him a sharp glare, panting heavily.

Rothgarr murmured, “Thank you, Master, for the reward…”

At times like these, she felt that he was playing dumb, but at other times, his performance was too subversive.
She could only say that, as expected of Rothgarr, his humble act was quite strong.

Her bottom line was pushed back step-by-step through compromise.
She used to make a fuss about being touched by Rothgarr, but now kissing and hugging had become the norm.
It was fine as long as he didn’t try to get into her bed.
