A cold smile hung on the corners of Lu Lixing’s mouth.
The coldness spread from his mouth to every limb of his body, gradually freezing him.

Ji Qingqing came out from the closet room.
Glancing at Lu Lixing who had not moved from his position, she took her pajamas and nonchalantly entered the bathroom.

The interior lighting of the bathroom was too bright and the light cast over Lu Lixing’s face.
Although she couldn’t make out his expression, just seeing his lips pressed together in a straight line and the way he stared intensely at her resembled that of wolves and tigers.

Lu Lixing studied Ji Qingqing who was wearing a mini camisole from top to bottom.
Her shoulder-length hair was tied up, revealing her white slender neck and her smooth and slightly curved collarbones.
A faint glimpse of the view beneath her camisole could be seen and the more it was covered, the more tempting it got.
Under the warm orange glow of the light, Ji Qingqing appeared alluring and soft to touch.

As Lu Lixing’s eyes traveled, his tense body loosened.

Lu Lixing’s silence made Ji Qingqing even more uneasy.
At times, she would always feel that he was plotting something bad whenever he studied her silently like this.

The hair tie at the back of her head was a bit loose.
As her hands reached behind to tighten it, Lu Lixing grabbed the opportunity and took a step forward.
Bending down, he kissed her cheek.

Her hand that was in the midst of tying her hair paused.
A visible blush spread across Ji Qingqing’s fair white cheeks, dyeing them bright red.
She abruptly took a step back and looked at Lu Lixing in shock.

“You… you, what are you doing?”

Lu Lixing took a step forward, closing in on her.
His eyes continued to travel across her body, trailing from the head to her neck till her shoulders, before following down her arms and stopping at the back of her hand.

“Nothing.”

After speaking, he reached out and took Ji Qingqing’s hand, pulling it before him.
Then he leaned forward and kissed the back of her hand.

The hair tie on her head loosened and her hair cascaded down like a waterfall, landing on her shoulders.

The soft kiss on the back of her hand was light as dragonflies landing on water.

As though she had been burnt by something, the pricking sensation made Ji Qingqing recoil her hand back sharply.
She looked at Lu Lixing in utmost shock and disbelief.
Her heart raced faster and a blush spread from her face to her neck before stopping at the tips of her ears.

“You… Do you know what you’re doing?”

“I know.”

Seeing Lu Lixing’s composed reaction, Ji Qingqing almost thought that he did it to get back at her!

“But you told me earlier that you weren’t interested in me, and that between the both of us, nothing further will happen!” Backed into a corner, her hands defensively hugged her chest as she glanced warily at the well-built man in front of her.

The room had good soundproofing.
If Lu Lixing really wanted to do something to her, can her weak arms even put up any resistance?

Lu Lixing didn’t respond.
When his gaze shifted to her neck, Ji Qingqing instinctively covered it.
Then it moved to her ears and Ji Qingqing cupped them too.
Following that, it moved to her forehead and she covered her forehead, guarding it tightly.
That gaze of his felt as if she was looking at a wolf who had been starving for a long time.

Lu Lixing: “…”

“You… I won’t argue with you about what happened just now.
If there’s nothing else then get out, I’m going to bathe.” Ji Qingqing half-heartedly waved him out.
