(Mint POV)

”oh! its raining outside today ”

I don want to get wet so I grab my bag and umbrella and walked to my car. before I can get into my car, I felt the vibration on my right pant pocket.

”oh! its a call ”

this was the call from my best friend Jasmine.

”where are you? ”

”Im at the car parking. ”

”wait for me Ill go with you. ”

”fine. ”

after a while,

Jasmin came, she opened the car door and took her seat next to the drivers. I smile while looking at her. hopefully, everything is great until now between us. she is the only person knew about me. she is so truly a person that makes me feel comfortable to speak my inner self to her.

I still remember the first day we meet at the University. she was getting register herself with the club form. I was just behind her. I said hi first in order to start the conversation. by talking with her on the first day confirmed me that,

she is one of her own kind of girl. in my sense, an idol type having blessed with the cheerful smile, bold appearance and most importantly doesn take shit about what other people think about her. she just enjoys herself and everyone around her enjoy by seeing her smile. If I was straight I might date her for sure.

”hey, what are you looking at? ”

”Aaah!…nothing ”

”ya tell me ”

”no, its ok! ”

I took my gaze away from her, take my hands to the gears and drive to the building.

As I told before, Im still in the closet from my family and the world even my mom doesn know about me. the fact of being me kinda sense of insecure in myself that has blocked the path of living a free life. have a fear larger than the sky that let my choice of being me, is guilt occasionally.

this was the main reason I don have a partner, and I don wanna date someone.

but somehow this thing has to change.

that night, I. the road I saw, someone has got into an accident. Jasmin and I can barely see anything over there, the road was slightly filled with fewer vehicles due to the heavy rain. no one was stopping to see that side of the accident. Im sure most of them do not want to involve with the police, so, nobody was there to help the injured.

”Hey, Mint I think we should help him. ”

I stop my car and took the umbrella and walk rapidly towards him.

he has still his helmet on. but the glass of the helmet has broken. blood came through his neck, maybe a head injury.

”look Mint, his bike ” his bike got damage up to 75%.

”What kind of speed was he driving? ” Jasmin said.

that makes me more frightened if he had some serious injury. I carefully remove his helmet, face can be recognized due to blood all over his face. and took him carefully into my car. I don know much about medical but I do know he may have some serious damages over his body, so I let Jasmin sit beside him for providing support and strictly advise her not let his head bend in any direction.

about 10 min later we were in the hospital. it was an emergency so the doctors directly get him to the ICU.

As I feel something, a vibration in my hands I looked it was the phone of that man who was just meet an accident. I look into the broken screening it was written, Mom. I picked up the call and informed her about the accident and asked her to come.

I and Jasmin took the seats at the hospital, the hospital staff came to us asked to fill the details of the patient.

he was completely stranger so we didn know much but even we filled the details. and wait until someone from her family comes.

his parents have come shortly after I informed them.
