Oh, I could not wait to see Alicia… I was missing Alicia’s presence even more.

I was thinking about this while watching Emma, who was now in a terrible state.

I had grown accustomed to seeing scenes like this in the impoverished village.
An ordinary aristocrat would have vomited and run away from this place at first sight.
I believed that it would be that unbearable.

Emma had a bruise on her head, and blood was running from her forehead down to the teacher’s table.
Her body was also probably covered in bruises.
Her leg was broken, and it was pointing in an unusual direction.
She must be in a lot of pain.

She was barely breathing and even though she was unconscious, she had a pained expression on her face.

“She was a Liz follower before becoming an Alicia follower, and I wonder if she was made this way as an example to all of them.”

“That may be so.”

Duke nodded at my words.

I was certain that Duke knew exactly what was going on behind the scenes with Marika and Emma.
Because it had something to do with Alicia….

“For now, clean up the blood on the floor.”

Duke said to Curtis, who pulled an “Oh, really?” face and grimaced.

I remembered that look from when Alicia was kidnapped in a shed and Curtis cleaned up the blood on her clothes a long time ago.

“Well, that may be nothing from Duke’s point of view, but from mine, I would need to use all my magic to clean this up.”

Mumbling, he magically cleaned up all the rat blood on the floor.

Duke magically levitated all the rats into the air, gathered them in a corner of the classroom, and covered them with a cloth on top.

“A normal student would need to do his best just to levitate one of them.”

“Duke is a freak after all.”

I guess Mel’s “freak” was a compliment.

I wondered if she was allowed to say such a thing to her master.
Well, it was Mel we were talking about, so I guess it was allowed.

“Go get Liz.”

Mel left the classroom with a disgusted look on her face at Duke’s orders.
