Dueling Dragons of the Dream Dungeon

”The humans have scorned us, my brethren. ” The large red dragon looked out across the rest of the gathered lizards, each a different color and all varying levels of shine.

”To think they would go so far as to mimic our power with that black powder of theirs. If they continue to develop that technology, they will surpass us! ” responded a thin white dragon, who seemed to be the smallest of those gathered. With a nod of reverence in her direction, the red dragon spoke again:

”I would propose a retreat from this realm. I have found another that seems to be an interesting place to live, a place with a notable absence of that damn dragon powder. ”

”How dare you! You call all of us to this island just to demand we leave like cowards? ” out of the shadow in the corner of the pavilion all the dragons gathered in, an enormous matte black dragon with a single silver eye scowled at the red dragon, the smaller dragons around him shying away.

The red dragon sighed. ”Do you have an alternative then, Mogus? ”

He smirked. ”Oh, I shall leave with the rest of you, but I propose we leave a gift for the humans. Let our presence be known in this reality for all time, or at least, for as long as the humans are alive to remember us! ” Mogus cackle boomed throughout the pavilion. The white dragon scowled as most of the others grimaced, trying to shy away from Mogus without appearing weak. The red dragon, yelling to be heard over Mogus, yelled one last time.

”Let us begin the journey! Onto a new world, one where we can all achieve our full potential! ”
